Little Makalolo —Hwange

Little Makalolo is the “sister” camp to Makalolo Plains. It is located about 20 minutes’ drive away from Makalolo Plains and is completely independently run, with its own staff, management and guides. Little Makalolo sleeps eight guests in five luxury tented rooms – or up to ten guests in a private group seeking exclusivity and privacy. Little Makalolo is located amongst teak trees looking towards a waterhole and pan which is about 100m away from camp.

The camp has identical tents to Makalolo Plains but these are built on the ground. There is a hide in front of the camp which gives great views onto the waterhole. The game activities are identical to Makalolo Plains, as described on the previous page. The dining room, lounge and pub area are all under canvas. There is also a plunge pool.
